Sony Playstation Linux and Emulators

I am getting a playstation 3 soon, not for games, but just for the cell procesor on it.. Can't wait to play with linux on it. Anyway, I found a bunch of videos of emulators including Super Nintendo, Genesis, TG-16, nes, Xmame - people are running XP on their ps3 linux box!! Does anyone have any suggestions as to what distro to run? I've seen Yellow Dog, Ubuntu and Fedora but don't know enough about that aspect of the linux scene to pick the best distro...
